A Met and his impact

Hey everyone!

About a week ago I was reminded of how you can have a positive, and maybe lasting, effect on peoples’ lives. Here’s the story:

I received a message from a parent from Northeast Ohio. She wrote to thank me for reading her daughter’s weather-related poem during a visit to her daughter’s school a few years ago. She also asked if I could help with another one of her daughter’s recent weather-related projects. I was able to oblige the request.

While it may seem small, it was cool to know that maybe I had a positive and lasting effect on people in a market where I use to work. And it also reminded me of all the people who provided me assistance, from when I was a child to an adult today.

I guess, I just want to hit home that you never know how giving a living of your time can benefit someone else’s life, in a small or big way. Thanks to everyone giving back and giving time. I know I try to do this a little bit at a time.

Attached to this post is the picture of myself with Eve on the day I read to her school and a picture of her most recent weather related project.

Enjoy your day!
