About Me

Marcus Walter is a On-camera Meteorologist with WeatherNation TV based near Denver area of Colorado. Prior, he was a meteorologist with Verizon’s FiOS1 News/RNN, which services the New York Tri-State.

He holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in meteorology from Penn State University and a master’s degree in atmospheric science from Cornell University. He also holds an American Meteorological Society Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) Seal and National Weather Association Television Seal of Approval.

Before FiOS1 News, Marcus worked as a weather anchor for WKYC-TV Channel 3 News in Cleveland, OH. And before that, he served as the studio-live producer for Sam Champion at ABC’s Good Morning America. In this role, he worked with Champion, Ginger Zee, and the entire GMA weather team to manage the weather content presented during the national broadcasts. While working at GMA, Marcus was featured in Black Enterprise Magazine for his work with the network morning show.

Marcus has also worked as a freelance meteorologist for WENY-TV News in Horseheads, NY.

His love of weather developed when he was around the age of 12. By his junior year in high school, he decided to pursue a career in meteorology.
